Today we went over acids, bases, the pH scale and buffers. We focused on the bicarbonate-carbonic acid blood buffer system. We then began a study of the macromolecules. We discussed some common functional groups and carbohydrates. This will continue tomorrow. Here is a link to a site I will be using tomorrow. It shows the relevant structures.
